In the boutique hotel Verina Astra you have the feeling of becoming one with the Aegean Sea and its endless expanses. The hotel is located on a hill in Poulati, directly above the Panagia tis Poulatis Church, viewing the picturesque village of Kastro. Thanks to breathtaking panoramic views and enchanting nights on the island, the stars over Sifnos are within reach from the Verina “Astra” – which means “stars” in Greek.
The total of 16 rooms and suites are named after constellations and are set amid romantic gardens. The private terraces and infinity pool offer stunning views of the sea, which merges with the horizon to form a seemingly endless blue. The hotel’s design is minimalistic and understated in a Cycladic style. An exceptional and unique combination of traditional architecture and modern design elements that blend harmoniously with the natural environment. Organic materials such as natural stone, ceramics and flowing linen fabrics create a calm and cozy atmosphere.
Seasonality and regionality are top priorities at Verina Astra. The Mediterranean cuisine relies primarily on fresh ingredients sourced from the surrounding Sifnos area and from their own organic cultivation. The cuisine combines the local culinary heritage and traditional dishes with today’s modern approaches. Sophisticated combinations of food from the sea and land make the stay on the Greek Cyclades Island unique.

Dexamenes Seaside Hotel is located on one of the most unspoilt coastlines of the Western Peloponnese, on Kourouta Beach. The former winery, located directly on the sea front, consists of wine tanks, which have been minimally restored to retain their original industrial appearance, and are laid out in two parallel rows of concrete blocks with an extension in steel frame construction.
The renowned Athens architecture firm k-studio was commissioned to redesign the former wine factory. From the outset it was clear that the strong history and raw beauty of the existing buildings should not only be preserved, but be showcased in a design that would breathe new life into their walls. The new design compliments their brutality with elegant interventions and transform their austere functionality into a place of calm, comfort and relaxation. A complimentary palette of concrete, steel, timber and engineered glass ensures that new construction elements tread lightly, leaving the existing buildings relatively untouched and retaining their strong presence.
34 industrial chic suites in converted former wine tanks dating back to the 1920s are available for design-loving guests to enjoy an exceptional stay from April to October. Many of them have a wide covered terrace overlooking the Ionian Sea. The patina of exposed interior concrete walls contrasts with engineered glass partitions and polished terrazzo floors while elements of timber add dashes of warmth in a nod to the area’s nautical history. Dexamenes is an architectural slice of Greek trading history on the mainland’s western Peloponnese coast.
In addition to its architectural roots, the luxury resort also focuses on regional culture and local experiences. Considering that the Peloponnese peninsula has more vineyards and grape varieties than any other region in Greece, it is not surprising that local specialities and viticulture play an essential role at Dexamenes Seaside Hotel. The kitchen prepares a variety of choices from breakfast to dinner that vary from degustation menus to hyperlocal meals with traditional references, putting in high priority the dietary preferences of each guest. In addition to the hotel’s open kitchen laboratory, where cooking courses and wine tastings are offered, guest can indulge in Greek cuisine at the taverna or enjoy a drink at the beachfront bar-lounge. The boutique “Bakaliko” with local products and delicacies also embodies the regional culture of Greece. You can find peace and relaxation in an ex wine Silo Tank converted into a contemporary sanctuary where therapies such as yoga, sound healing and massage treatments take place.
Stay in a former wine tank that is now almost monastic in its pared down design, letting you unwind to views of the sea. A comfortable 30sqm room of carefully organized and beautifully detailed space, designed to sit within the exposed concrete walls of the tank without inhibiting their unique texture and patina. Each room features a Cocomat double bed adjacent to a single bed that can also act as a sofa, an open wardrobe and storage area and a bathroom separated by a wall of textured glass that allows light from the window to reach the back of the tank. A huge double sink and separated WC bring a sense of luxurious comfort to the minimal, pared down interior.
Myst Boutique Hotel is situated in a tranquil location about 800 meters north of the famous town of Oia on the Greek island of Santorini. Tucked away from the main town’s hustle and bustle the hotel is a calm oasis. The architecture is a contemporary take on Cycladic design with straight lines and gentle grey, cream and aqua colors instead of the blazing white that can be found everywhere else. Instead of a view of the caldera guests can enjoy the vista across wine yards and plains towards the ocean and the distant island of Ios. The famous sunsets of Oia can be enjoyed from the comfort of private terraces. The infinity pool is a special highlight and comes with double-sized floating sun loungers – perfect to soak up the sun and take in the grand vistas.
The exclusive hotel offers three classes of rooms that are all arranged to take in the best sea views. All rooms, except the poolside rooms, have large private jacuzzis on their terraces. Some suites have even two terraces in order to enjoy the sunrise and the sunset. Myst’s minimalist color palette is fused with modern lines to create the ultimate summer vacation paradise. Guests can enjoy French design towels and robes as well as high end toiletries from Greek honey based Apivita brand.
Myst’s restaurant Avra Estiatorio is headed by chef George Skopelitis. Having received culinary trainings at Michelin star restaurants, he focuses on fresh produce and authentic greek flavors. The restaurant’s terrace is overlooking the property’s lush gardens and the infinity pool with the deep blue sea on the horizon.
The Delight Suite is with 60 m2 the most spacious choice at Myst Boutique Hotel. This suite features two verandas, one facing to the east and one to the west. Guests can begin their day by watching the sunrise on their front veranda, and end it by relaxing in their jacuzzi watching as the sky changes to different hues of magenta during Santorini’s famous sunset.
Saint Hotel is situated in a panoramic location in the famous town of Oia on the Greek island of Santorini. A cluster of former homes, barns and cellars have been turned into an extraordinary hotel with rooms in caves. The boutique hotel is located among a strip of buildings that form the edge of the village. Saint Hotel seemingly flows down the cliff by the sea. Each level has unobstructed views of the island’s volcanic bay.
The exclusive hotel offers 16 suites that open onto private terraces with pools and loungers that are separated by bright white walls. The interiors match the all-white exteriors, with the smooth walls of the caves finished in white plaster. The rooms are decorated with austere and minimal fittings. Pieces of amorphous furniture, such as seating pods with hinged lids and circular sunshades, give the spaces a serene feel. The Sacred Spa is an all-inclusive area featuring a Hammam, a steam room, and a Jacuzzi along with many more amenities. Guests can enjoy everything from a deep tissue massage to a facial or an exclusive full body treatment.
At the Trinity Restaurant the chefs concentrate on upscale local tastes with a twist. Since meals are a ritual at Saint Hotel only the freshest, high-quality ingredients are being used. The majestic views of Santorini’s famous volcano adds to the experience while dining. Outside the restaurants guests can expect everything from a fancy breakfast in bed or a midnight gourmet snack with Champagne.
The Saint Suite with 70 m2 boasts a separate living area, a walk-in closet and a walk in double rain shower. From the grand terrace views of Santorini’s caldera can be enjoyed from all angles. Maybe the best spot to take all that in is the heated infinity pool.
