The Gradonna Mountain Resort Chalets & Hotel is located directly on the Kals slope in the Großglockner Kals-Matrei ski area. The designer alpine hotel at an elevation of 1,350 metres offers pure natural pleasure inside and outside. The wood shingle facade and the large window fronts allow the landscape to “flow” into the hotel. The materials and colours of nature define the interior down to the smallest detail. Local spruce, stone pine, linen and loden create a pleasant atmosphere at the Gradonna. Kals marble and wood sculptures lend the resort an exclusive but down-to-earth flair. The 36 wooden chalets and 23 suites in the hotel tower offer a direct view of the Großglockner and 60 further 3,000-metre-plus peaks in the Hohe Tauern. The car-free resort with about 3,000 sqm of wellness, bathing and sauna landscape and a kid’s club offers indoor and outdoor pools as well as a solar-heated natural swimming pond that covers 700 sqm.
The tower suite with 55 sqm of space is located on the seventh floor of the hotel tower. In addition to a separate bedroom and living room and a private spa with an infrared relaxation booth, the suite has a terrace with a breathtaking view of the Großglockner, the highest mountain in Austria.
The idyllic village of Kals lies at the foot of the Großglockner, the highest mountain in Austria with a height of 3,798 metres. The picturesque town is nestled in the unique alpine panorama of the three-thousand-meter plus peaks of the Schober, Glockner and Granatspitz groups. Kals offers around 250 kilometres of beautiful and well posted paths for walking and hiking, numerous lodges offering food and drink, and virtually limitless possibilities for mountain climbing and summit tours.
