A return to elegance, history, and genuine hospitality
A hidden gem in the historic Steinach district of Merano, where past and present blend seamlessly. The Steinach Townhouse combines the charm of a meticulously restored 19th-century manor house with modern comforts, offering a unique and authentic guest experience. Just steps from the bustling city center, it welcomes you to a tranquil oasis overlooking the old town and surrounding nature.
The eleven spacious suites pay homage to the house's history while embracing modern design. Original parquet floors, restored stucco decorations, and traditional South Tyrolean wardrobes from the 18th and 19th centuries meet contemporary elements and luxurious bathrooms. Whether it’s the 30 m² Double Suite or the 65 m² Loft Suite Superior, every accommodation features generous living spaces, comfortable beds, and stunning views of the old town alleys or the Passeirer Gate.
The exclusive Bow Window Suite impresses with 25 m² of space and large bay windows offering unparalleled views of the historic quarter. A private garden completes this unique living experience.
The townhouse bistro enchants with its historical charm: tables from the 1930s and lamps by Le Corbusier create a distinctive atmosphere. Enjoy homemade pastries and freshly brewed coffee on the charming terrace overlooking the old town.
The Steinach Townhouse is the vision of designers Roger Botti and Giulia de Andreis, whose attention to detail and love for history is evident in every room. Their concept merges the original elegance of the house with modern amenities and a touch of nostalgia.
Hosts Katalin Huff and Andrea Fenoglio, renowned figures in Merano’s fine dining scene, welcome guests with warmth and an eye for perfection. Their passion for hospitality is reflected in every detail, from personal recommendations to the thoughtful design of each guest’s stay.
Situated in the heart of the medieval Steinach district, the townhouse offers an ideal base for strolls along the Passer River or through the historic arcades. Merano’s Mediterranean flair, combined with its nearby mountain scenery, makes this a truly unique destination.
