A hotel run by the fourth generation

The Bischof family and the Steinfeld family have now been running the 4* Superior Alpenstern for four generations. Bertram Bischof took over the former Pension Halde and finally converted it into the Alpenstern in 1997. Together with his son Peter and his daughter Corina and her husband Maximilian Steinfeld, he took the big step in 2020 and demolished the old hotel. The new 4* Superior Alpenstern Panoramahotel shone in new splendour. A small part of the old building was left standing, which now houses most of the staff rooms. The vision of the two families was to build a hotel that suits them. It should radiate tranquillity and cosiness, and it was especially important to them that the warm hospitality and family atmosphere should not get lost.

"Since we run the hotel in a very family-like way and are always available for our guests, we wanted to make the lobby areas, for example, very cosy, almost like a living room."

Feeling like home

The 4*Superior Hotel offers luxury paired with tranquillity and a timeless ambience and leaves nothing to be desired. The owners are particularly proud of their overall concept, which they were able to coordinate from scratch regarding to the construction of the new building.

Honest hospitality is the highest priority for the host families Bischof & Steinfeld. Corina is always attentive to the needs of her guests, she is the good soul of the house. Maximilian, the house's sommelier, is happy to advise and treat guests to fine wines, while son Peter spoils guests with creative culinary dishes from the kitchen. Bertram even accompanies his guests up to the mountain peaks during a hiking tour and shows them the most beautiful places in the Bregenzerwald. With Corina and Maximilian's son Rasmus, provisions have already been made for the next generation.
