Bergland Sölden x Regional 200: a gourmet experience where greener really is greener
In today’s world, where sustainability and environmental protection are becoming increasingly important, it is gratifying to see people and hotels opting for greener, more regional and environmentally friendly options. One such inspiring example is Bergland Sölden’s “Regional 200” – an initiative that combines local food and culinary enjoyment.
Gourmet Enjoyment
Who said that sustainable food has to be boring? On the contrary, “Regional 200” proves the opposite. This initiative has made it its mission to present and celebrate the culinary treasures of the region. This means you don’t have to sacrifice enjoyment while making environmentally conscious choices.
In the kitchen of Bergland Sölden, as well as in the vinotheque, we offer a wide range of delicious dishes prepared from local and regional ingredients. From fresh vegetables and fruit to meat and cheese – here you will be spoilt with taste experiences that respect the environment at the same time.
Greener goes Greener
“Green” is not only a colour, but also a lifestyle. “Regional 200” supports this lifestyle by ensuring that the food on offer is produced and processed sustainably. This means that fewer transport routes and packaging materials are used to reduce the environmental impact. All food and products at Bergland Sölden come from within a 200km radius. So either from Austria, Germany, Switzerland or Italy.
Regional 200 – “We love local products!“
“Regional 200” is therefore more than just a culinary initiative; it is a declaration of love for local food producers and farmers with whom Bergland Sölden works. This initiative creates a connection between the people in the region and the producers who work hard to grow and produce high-quality food and products. Here, under the “Regional 200” seal, they get vegetables from Kematen near Innsbruck (as the crow flies: 37 km), fish, dairy products and honey from Längenfeld (as the crow flies: 12 km) and meat from Imst (as the crow flies: 37 km) in addition to the products from the in-house sheep farm.
