The Refugium Lunz is the vision of Formdepot founders Joachim Mayr and Heinz Glatzl that has become a reality. The house on the church square of the Mostviertel mountaineering village is located between the church and the Ybbs. Its history dates back to the 17th century. The old walls have been gently combined with modern additions to create a harmonious ensemble with a pool and terrace. And now there is a hotel here with historical character and a lot of design that knows how to tell of fulfilled wishes and longings.

Diving into the lake of possibilities

What is true for Refugium Lunz can also be true for our guests: Morning yoga in the garden house and then drinking tea together? Picnic by the lake and then jump into the crystal-clear water? Set up a bouncy castle and laugh until you can’t take it anymore? Go mushroom hunting and then cook together with Christian in the parlour kitchen? Barbecue around the campfire and then sing karaoke together? Watch the fire crackling in the old parlour and take part in a pub quiz? Watching shooting stars in one of the places least affected by light pollution and then making a wish? So much is possible and so much more.

Whether you want to get married here, host a team-building event, organise a retreat as a yoga teacher or simply celebrate a non-birthday with your family, Refugium Lunz is a place where you can forget everything around you and concentrate on what it’s all about: being together. Here you will be looked after in an intimate and elegant setting. The house can be rented for up to 50 people. 23 double rooms are available, as well as all the amenities from the seminar room to the pool, the garden house and the parlour kitchen. Well?
