The new Seegut Zeppelin, which opened its doors on 6 May 2024, is located in the middle of an old landscaped park directly on Lake Constance. The hotel buildings clad in glazed spruce wood around the Villa Gminder in Friedrichshafen-Fischbach are just 50 metres from the shore. The modern solitary buildings blend discreetly into the protected park. Inside, the surrounding nature is impressively restaged through wall-high windows. The furnishings are based on natural materials and high-quality design; the cuisine is based on an innovative concept with a vegetarian focus. The name of the hotel is Seegut Zeppelin.

The Seegut Zeppelin is one of the few hotels on Lake Constance that is located directly on the shore and has its own access to the lake. Generosity, space and outstanding interior design characterise the four modern stand-alone buildings that surround the listed Villa Gminder.

The 62 rooms, reception, bar and wellness area are located in the new buildings. The function rooms are spread across the new buildings and the villa. Inside, views of the lake, the park and the fruit and herb garden open up again and again. Brand-name furniture from Freifrau and the Stuhlmanufaktur horgenglarus make the hearts of design lovers beat faster. Home textiles made of linen and cotton create a link to the textile manufacturer Gustav Gminder, who once had the villa built in the centre of the complex.

Rooms

All rooms at the Seegut have a balcony or terrace. We particularly recommend the forest rooms in Haus August or the park rooms in Haus Helene, as they offer a marvellous view of the lake. The rooms are furnished with great attention to detail. Silver fir panelling, oak floorboards and lime plaster create an atmosphere that reflects a refuge in the middle of nature. Here I can come to rest and enjoy the time. Mindfulness is very important here, especially in our fast-moving times.

Culinary

Villa Gminder is home to the Pinus restaurant, named after an impressive black pine tree between the restaurant and the lakeshore. The cuisine at Pinus has a clear vegetarian focus and places the sharing principle at the centre, with different components served at the same time.

History

The wealthy textile manufacturer Gustav Gminder from Reutlingen had secured a marvellous lakeside property for his family’s “summer retreat” on the shores of Lake Constance in Fischbach. The well-known architect of the time, Theodor Fischer, was commissioned to design a villa. In 1929, the Evangelical Deaconess Institution bought the property and operated it intermittently as a hospital, convalescent home and later as a holiday and conference centre. In 2014, the Deaconess House found new owners: Luftschiffbau Zeppelin GmbH acquired the property and operated it as a holiday and conference centre through a subsidiary. However, due to the outdated building fabric and the existing room structure, the guest house could not be run profitably. A new design was therefore considered, with which the Plösser architects’ office from Friedrichshafen was commissioned. At the beginning of 2016, the Fennel family won the tender to run the guesthouse with their sustainability-focussed concept.

The hotel’s special location in the middle of a protected landscape park means even greater responsibility towards the surrounding nature. Care is taken to ensure that the shore area is only moderately frequented all year round and, in particular, that the peace and quiet of the wild birds wintering in Fischbach Bay is not disturbed. The eastern part of the park is separated by a hedge of wild shrubs and is reserved exclusively for flora and fauna.

Exquisite location and green oasis

The Küglerhof rises majestically at an altitude of 700 metres in Dorf Tirol and offers a breathtaking view over the entire Etschtal valley. Set on 4 hectares of land, away from noise and stress, it offers an oasis of peace and relaxation. Numerous hiking trails invite you to stroll through the picturesque landscape directly from the hotel, while the cable car to the Muthöfe is just a short walk away. Guests can also use the village bus to get to the centre of Dorf Tirol or even as far as Meran. Surrounded by apple orchards and meadows, the Küglerhof offers absolute peace and tranquillity. The garden with pond invites you to linger, while newly added amenities such as the open barbecue further enhance the experience of nature.

Stylish design and elegance

The Küglerhof presents a natural beauty and a new concept of “barefoot luxury” without “bling-bling”. The rooms are designed close to nature and furnished to a high standard, with every detail selected with love and care. A pleasant ambience with natural materials and soft colours creates an atmosphere of inner contemplation for body and soul. Under the direction of owner Karoline Dilitz, the Küglerhof was designed in a lodge style and harmoniously furnished. Every detail has her personal touch, from the unusual furniture to the matching details that characterise the ambience of the hotel. The light-flooded restaurant inspires with surprising, atmospheric details and uses fine, natural materials and stylish furnishings that follow the principles of feng shui.

Best Room Suite XL

Particularly noteworthy is the new Suite XL with a generous 60m², which offers a separate dressing room, a living room and a spacious sleeping area with a breathtaking view directly from the bed. From this exclusive suite, you can quickly and comfortably reach the pool via the terrace to take your first dip in the morning and enjoy the tranquillity of nature.

Culinary delights and treats for the palate

The Küglerhofs kitchen is the pride of the house, under the direction of Patrick Kreidl and his team, who focus on uncompromising product quality and local ties. The excellent slow-food cuisine offers a culinary journey for gourmets and connoisseurs. With attention to detail, dishes are served at both breakfast and dinner that will tantalise the senses. The Chef’s Choice menu is available for those who are undecided. In the afternoon, tapas & drinks can be enjoyed by the pool, while an extensive selection of wines rounds off the culinary experience.

Relaxation and recreation in the spa area

The spa area at the Küglerhofs is a place of deep relaxation and recuperation, designed with wood, natural stone and glass. Four saunas, including a Finnish sauna, a steam bath, an organic hay sauna and a herbal sauna, as well as a Kneipp trail and a whirlpool, which is flooded anew for each guest, offer a wide range of opportunities for regeneration. Massages can be booked daily. A self-service pool bar, a large garden with orchard and a panoramic relaxation room with sun terrace create a harmonious and relaxing atmosphere for body and soul. An in-house library is also available for guests to browse through in peace and quiet.

Being private is the new happiness

Moments of happiness at 1,250 m above sea level are promised by the boutique hotel Bergwiesenglück in the middle of the Tyrolean Alps. How could it be any different. It is a place where the view wanders over the lush green mountain meadows to the rugged peaks of the Silvretta Group and the fresh air clears the mind.

On a sunny place presents the elegant Chalet Dorf, in the center the Bergwiesenhof. Not only are the authentic Alpine Suites located here, but on the roof of the Bergwiesenglück a 12-meter heated infinity pool and a small but fine fitness stadium await you, with a magnificent view of the surrounding mountain landscape.

In the restaurant “Hermanns Kitchen” you can experience real authentic Tyrolean cuisine, where the unique delicacies are characterized by passion and pleasure. The ingredients are sourced exclusively seasonal from regional partners at the surrounding area. Particular emphasis is placed here on sustainability as well as no waste of important resources.

An interplay between far and near, nature and architecture

The architecture is reminiscent of the Tyrolean “Heustadl” which is typical of alpine farming. The clarity of the architecture is continued in the interior – you won’t find any overloaded alpine chic here. The use of traditional materials is interpreted in a modern way and creates an authentic, contemporary ambience, designed with a lot of respect in dealing with nature and the environment. Especially local materials from Tyrol, such as loden and Tyrolean wood were incorporated into the planning.

Awaken your senses

On the edge of the National Park of the Llevant Peninsula near the town of Artà in northeast Mallorca, the famous Mallorcan architect Toni Esteva has created a wellness hotel in a class of its own – Es Racó D’Artà. A retreat full of color and texture, unique smells and tastes, sounds of nature, elegant art and minimalist architecture.

In addition to classic Mallorcan life, Es Racó D’Artà offers a variety of workshops from culinary, agriculture, handicrafts, meditation and yoga. Alone or in a group, guests can explore the surrounding area on foot, by bike, or on horseback. Afterwards, the spa and wellness area with whirlpool and sauna offers the perfect place to unwind.

Inspired by the origins of Mallorca

The old Mallorcan estate from the 13th century is a great project of nature, culture and sustainability. On almost 200 hectares of land, in addition to the hotel complex, there are vineyards, orchards, wheat fields and beehives for its own honey production. A place to connect with oneself and one’s surroundings and to follow new spiritual paths.

The 34 double rooms are spread throughout the grounds, some in the main building, some in casitas with private pools. Minimalist design and noble, natural materials characterize the interior and reflect the harmony with nature. Ecological and regional diversity can also be found throughout the grounds – in the hotel’s own restaurant in the form of traditional Mediterranean cuisine.

Natural coastal landscape meets modern luxury

Overlooking the grand beach of Santa Barbara, Santa Bárbara Eco-Beach Resort, the Azores’ first ecologically-friendly eco-beach resort was opened in 2015. It began with a passion for the natural black beaches along the picturesque northern coast of São Miguel in the Azores. The unique, almost magical, green pastures and mountain hues that contrast with the azure blue oceans are the ideal backdrop for a calming resort retreat. The inviting natural coastal landscape, the elegance of the modern luxury spaces and the commitment to a full-range of experiences epitomizes the passion for the art of hospitality, nature and, above all, the Azores.

The resort is dedicated to sustainability:  The architecture and luxury amenities, the Farm-to-Table supply chain, environmental support and energy/water efficiency programs were constituted to reduce the ecological impact, maintain the natural beauty and environmental balance of the coastal ecosystem.

Architecture in harmony with natural surroundings

The resort’s architectural design and the choice of materials were selected to blend harmoniously with natural surroundings. The minimalist architecture was adjusted to the morphology of the land, in order to minimize its impact on the natural landscape. This was enhanced by the use of natural building materials sourced locally or nationally, such as the islands’ cryptomeria, exotic bamboos and domestic cork that built on the simple natural setting.

Construction of the Santa Bárbara resort prioritized the use of natural materials, primarily the use of local wood (cryptomeria), cork and bamboo, and infused decorative elements that callback to traditional Azorean motifs and accents. Santa Bárbara’s furniture was designed and built exclusively for the resort. Other decorations were made from repurposed materials, such as lamps which were made from oil containers of an abandoned farm, and the restaurant chairs and tables which were made from reused iron and covered with vegetable fiber, using matting crafts.

Moments of well-beeing

Santa Bárbara has several spaces where you can peacefully relax. The outdoor decks facing the sea are arranged in different corners, with chairs where you can simply sit and contemplate all the surrounding nature. Take a dip in the pool or go down to the beach. In the restaurant / bar you can dine or simply try one of the snacks, cocktails and gins. You can also relax at our Wellness Retreat and book a massage for a moment of pure pleasure and relaxation – with the sound of the sea as your background music. You can choose from 14 studios, 7 one bedroom villas and 9 two bedroom villas, all elegantly furnished with a small equipped kitchenette, a stylish living space and a spacious balcony that allows visitors to observe, contemplate and relax to the coastal breeze.

From-farm-to-table takes you to an oriental journey

Santa Bárbara offers a gastronomic concept that will take you through an oriental journey from India to Japan, in an unexpected discovery of exotic spices and authentic flavors. All this with the necessary praise for the quality of local products – which includes Azorean meat, fresh fish and seafood from the Atlantic, alongside the freshest vegetables, aromatic herbs and fruits that now arrive from our farm installed on the property, with two greenhouses and an approximate area of 4000m2. A way to guarantee a zero kilometer products and extra quality in a true “farm to table” concept.

Best Room – Retreat Villa

Retreat Villas offer the most exclusive comfort in the Resort and a magnificent view you can enjoy from your private jacuzzi on the terrace. You can choose from a studio, a one-bedroom and a two-bedroom villa

Surrounded by Nature

ZASH Country Boutique Hotel is a boutique hotel where guests rediscover a time where they live in another dimension, made of slow gestures, new visions and mysterious voices: zash, splash, cucù, crag, ciuf, druum, pluf – the instinctive and hidden sounds of nature. To be surrounded by the volcano stones and scents of orange blossom, then all is quiet. It is the pleasure of life.

Elegant, slow and silent

The aim of the design concept of the architect Antonio Iraci and Carla Maugeri was that elegant historical fragments meet the contemporary. The 17 rooms which include 8 suites, bring out the physicality of nature respecting the traces of the past. The majesty of Mount Etna and the transparency of the sea are the two strong contrasts that join together in the micro territories of this splendid side of Sicily.

This concept is carried through to the culinary experiences of the hotel. The Zash Restaurant is located where time has stopped: a special cozy intimate space. Where wine was fermenting in the old days, guests can experience the slow dimension of tastes, space and times. The Chef Giuseppe Raciti and his team mix creativity, tradition and territory to create the one star Michelin cuisine.

Inside the Nature at Zash there is the Zash’s nature: a retreat for contemporary wellbeing. Experience the outdoor pool with Etna view or the silent lemon garden. The pool is made of Etna lava stone, strong and powerful. Bare feet touch the water and feel the wood, while the warmth of intimate spaces meets the local aromas.
